L and B are separate configurations
The factory brochure distinguishes the long-nose W900L from W900B examples. Sleeper names describe accommodation, not total vehicle length.

Start with the model configuration, then choose a publication and explore its documented equipment.
Selecting equipment records your research choice. It does not calculate dimensions, establish an available combination or rate a truck.
Undated factory brochure; not a current order guide. The brochure expressly attributes 130 in BBC to W900L. Its broad heavy-duty capability statements do not assign a GCWR to a selectable truck.

Front bumper to the back of the driving cab. Excludes an additional sleeper; it is not overall tractor length.

W900L only; the sleeper and rear chassis are additional.

Measure fixed exterior width and mirror width separately, plus overall length, the highest accessory, fifth-wheel height and actual transport weight. Interior bunk width is not exterior width.
03 / UNDER THE SKIN
Confirm the engine and emissions year from the build record. Conventional · multiple rear-axle layouts documented. Read engine, gearbox and axle ratings together.
Numerical powertrain ratings need a dated configuration-specific source. The long production history includes several engine, emissions and transmission generations. Never infer an engine from hood style or seller shorthand.
Read the installed unit’s identification plate and build record.

BUYER RESEARCH · REVIEWED SEPTEMBER 9, 2026
The undated factory brochure is an archival W900-family reference. It documents W900L, W900B and W900S examples, but does not establish a complete production-year or current order matrix.
| Question | Documented reference | Buyer interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| W900L | 130 in BBC (3,302 mm) | This documented long-hood dimension is not overall length or sleeper size. |
| W900B | Extended day-cab and 72 in AeroCab examples appear | The reviewed brochure does not establish a numerical B hood dimension used here. Do not inherit the L value. |
| W900S | Shown in a vocational Super Dump application | Its appearance in the brochure does not make its axle, chassis or dimensions interchangeable with a highway tractor. |
Start a W900 purchase comparison with the exact suffix and axle arrangement. Then record wheelbase endpoints, frame modifications, fifth-wheel location and trailer clearance. For a long sleeper or specialist build, ask the inspector to examine cab and sleeper mounts, frame reinforcement, steering and the documentation for added axles. A catalogue showing heavy applications is not a tow rating, and its component maxima do not establish the permitted operating weight in Canada.

05 / PUTTING IT TO WORK
The W900 brochure covers highway and specialist work, including lowboy and logging applications. A long hood and large sleeper change the space available for the trailer and chassis equipment.
Start with deck length, load placement, axle distribution and cab-to-trailer clearance.
Read the guide HIGHWAYTRAILERS.CACompare deck height, gooseneck geometry and the loaded combination’s height.
Read the guide HIGHWAYTRAILERS.CACheck neck compatibility, fifth-wheel loading, wet-kit requirements and the complete axle layout.
Read the guide HIGHWAYTRAILERS.CAReview the tractor, coupling, trailer, tyres and load as one combination.
Read the guideConfirm build-specific combination, axle, tyre and coupling ratings, kingpin and service connections, clearance and actual axle weights. GVW is the loaded truck; GCW is the loaded combination. Neither is trailer payload.
Give the carrier measured length, exterior and mirror widths, height, ground clearance and transport weight. Assess deck access, breakover, loaded height and securement together.
