Match the sleeper to the work
Sleeper size, wheelbase, storage, bunk climate control and cab layout should suit the route, time away and driver needs. A larger sleeper can improve comfort, but it also changes wheelbase, weight distribution, manoeuvrability and available frame space.
Powertrain and operating considerations
Compare engine family, transmission, axle ratio and duty cycle as a complete specification. Highway gearing, fuel capacity and aerodynamic equipment may suit long runs, while regional work can place more emphasis on start-stop operation and manoeuvrability.
